General Manager & Lead Instructor – Riding Academy (Woodinville, WA)
Legacy Hunters & Jumpers is seeking an experienced instructor to lead and grow one of the Seattle area’s largest and longest running Hunter/Jumper lesson programs. Our USHJA Recognized Riding Academy is designed to give the aspiring equestrian a solid foundation in hunter/jumper riding to help them achieve their goals – whether that’s competing at a high level or riding for leisure. Legacy maintains a herd of safe and high-quality lesson horses and 20+ regular students. This position would be responsible for maintaining exemplary care of Legacy’s lesson horses and instruction of all Riding Academy students.
Responsibilities:
Managing instructional programming and skill development for Riding Academy students at the beginner to intermediate levels
Fostering a safe and fun environment for Riding Academy students & support staff
Overseeing training, care, and maintenance for a minimum of five (5) lesson horses
Responsible for all Riding Academy scheduling, billing, and client communications
Develop and maintain Riding Academy student recruiting and retention strategy
Maintaining upkeep and inventory of Riding Academy equipment & supplies
Supervising & training barn aisle support staff (working students)
Riding Training Program client horses as assigned
Supporting organizing and communication for barn events (On-site “Fun Shows,” holiday party, etc.)
Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
English riding and teaching experience, preferably with a Hunter/Jumper emphasis
Strong background and knowledge of horse care & training
Client facing or customer service experience is a plus
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Salary & Benefits:
Salary range: $37,000 - $40,000/year + bonuses dependent on experience
Employer paid medical + vision insurance, employee paid dental insurance also available
Board + Training for one (1) horse
Housing optional
Educational opportunities (additional lessons, clinics, etc.) as available

Part-Time Barn Operations Coordinator (Woodinville, WA)
Legacy Hunters & Jumpers is seeking Part-Time Barn Management Coordinators to assist with one of the Seattle area’s largest and longest running Hunter/Jumper lesson programs. Our USHJA Recognized Riding Academy is designed to give the aspiring equestrian a solid foundation in hunter/jumper riding to help them achieve their goals – whether that’s competing at a high level or riding for leisure. Legacy maintains a herd of safe and high-quality lesson horses and 20+ regular students. This position would be responsible for maintaining barn operations during Riding Academy lessons.
Responsibilities:
Supervising Riding Academy students while grooming & tacking up horses
Fostering and maintaining a safe environment for riding Academy students while on the ground
Teaching new students the ropes of grooming, horse care, and tacking up
Maintaining barn aisle cleanliness and organization of equipment & supplies
Assisting with horse care as needed (feeding, turnout, therapeutic maintenance)
Additional duties as assigned
Requirements:
Equestrian & horse handling experience required
Strong verbal communication skills
Client facing or customer service experience is a plus
Age 16+
Reliable transportation required
Salary: $18/hour
Hours: 10-20 per week
